Services and support that promotes inclusion, diversity and empowered community.
Services And Support
Our work sits across four main streams; research, training , active and community. Each stream shapes how we research, support and train involved communities and how we speak for change.
PN RESEARCH
PN Research focuses on what standard research usually misses. We use a community-led model where communities are involved from the very beginning: shaping the questions, gathering stories and data, and co-designing the solutions collectively. This way of working builds real collaboration and better outcomes.
Community Participatory Action Research
This CPAR model involves implementing community collaborative approach where the voices of community members, researchers and other stakeholders are heard.
By centring the voices of those most affected by poverty, racism and health inequality, PN Research will produce better insight and strong trust between communities and professionals.
The useful reports supports social justice, build skills and confidence in our communities and creates long-term community resilience.
PN TRAINING
Black and minoritised communities often feel engaged, seen and recognised when the groups delivering support share similar cultural background and lived experiences.
Shared experiences
Cultural understanding creates an immediate sense of trust between the trainers and those we support. PN understands the language, cultural dynamics, unspoken barriers which makes conversations safer and more effective.
Community-led educators
Community-led educators and trainers use case studies, examples and differing teaching techniques that reflect the lived experiences of the community.
Representation matters
Through PN’s training and community sessions, we are not only sharing knowledge. We are shifting power, amplifying lived experiences and building a more inclusive and culturally competent system for everyone.
PN COMMUNITY
We believe a community-led initiatives are the heart of a resilient neighbourhood. Through shared activities, projects and events, we help to rebuild trust, strengthen social bonds and create a real sense of belonging.
Connected communities are better equipped to tackle challenges collectively.
- Community initiatives strengthens social relationships
- Encourages empathy and develops support networks
- Promotes civic engagement
- Builds sustainable neighbourhoods and nurtures unity and pride
PN ACTIVE
Addressing the health inequalities experienced by BAME communities is central to Palace Network’s work on health equity and social justice. Many of our community are disproportionately disadvantaged by long term conditions often linked to barriers in accessing appropriate healthcare services, facing economic hardships and wider social determinants of health
Tackling health inequalities
We are not only improving individual health and wellbeing. We are also challenging the wider racial and social injustice that sit behind them.
Prioritising health and wellbeing
Reducing health gaps benefits the whole society by lowering avoidable healthcare costs, supporting people to stay in employment and creating a fairer and more inclusive system.
PN Monitoring and
evaluation approach
A clear and structured approach to monitoring and evaluation allows us to understand how well our projects are working, strengthen what we do and meet the expectations of funders and partners who rightly want to see evidence of impact.
In practice, monitoring and evaluation helps us to:
- Check that our activities are effective and achieving the outcomes we set
- Provide robust evidence to existing and potential funders that PN delivers real and measurable benefits to the community
- Adapt our programmes when community needs shifts
- Learn from our work and spot where things needs to be improved or changed
